Conferences, Seminars and Workshops
PMFCFS organizes national and international seminars, workshops and conferences on topics related to Futures Studies. Teams plan the appropriate activities to ensure successful events. Hence, not only planning is provided, but also quality training is offered to the participants in order to meet PMU’s high quality-control standards.
Several topics have been identified through primary discussions in line with the KSA’s vision of 2030. As a result, the following areas have been outlined:
The Future of Education
As we are facing unprecedented economic, social and environmental challenges resulting from the accelerating globalization, new opportunities for human advancement have arisen. Individuals entering education in 2019 will be the young adults of 2030 and likely the world leaders at a later date. Many technologies, unknown today, will be invented to resolve problems that have not been yet anticipated.
Youth Empowerment
Young people will have the power to shape the future of the world as they will be its workforce. Today, they may be facing a variety of hardships, arising from limited opportunities for training and development, employment discrimination, economic turmoil, health and humanitarian crisis, and internal and international conflicts. Satisfactory solutions are yet to be offered.
Future Employment Opportunities
Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Center for Futuristic Studies believes that countries can enhance the employment opportunities of their workforce by implementing key steps. Among the available options, one may find investment in youth to create opportunities for work and life satisfaction. Lack of employment in many communities leads youth to pursue unhealthy lifestyles.
Sustainable Development
Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Center for Futuristic Studies believes that sustainability is important. In fact, solutions to environmental, social and economic challenges are meaningless if they cannot be maintained. Therefore, research efforts are devoted to solutions that not only tackle problems in the present, but also can resolve them for the foreseeable future.
