Futuristic Studies Symposium
Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) will host the UNESCO Chairs International Symposium in Futures Studies and Futures Literacy. Together, we will celebrate the establishment of the first UNESCO Chair in the Gulf Region titled “UNESCO Chair in Transitional and Inter-generational Anticipation”, directed and guided by PMU’s president Dr. Issa Alansari.
The UNESO Chairs International Symposium is a reflection of PMU’s goal to be a pioneer in Futures Studies and Futures Literacy in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region. It enables the university to be an integral part of the future of the kingdom, and shape the education of future generations.
This Symposium will comprise of lectures and workshops that will be given by renowned specialists in Futures Studies and Futures Literacy from around the world. The focus of the lectures and workshops is to present and discuss relevant pedagogy and research methodology and their pertinent challenges for educational institutions and young generations.
